STAY GREEN INC (SGI), a Santa Clarita landscape contracting firm, recently named Rene Rivera its Santa Clarita Valley Branch Manager. Rene will manage all business operations of the branch and will oversee the work of four account managers and eight irrigation techs. He will also work closely with two supervisors overseeing an additional 80 plus employees.
Rene brings over 15 years of landscape industry experience to the position, having worked for three other large landscape companies prior to coming on board at Stay Green. At his most recent position, he served as senior account manager overseeing up to 25 plus employees. This experience will serve Rene well as he and his team service existing landscape maintenance clients in the region while working to increase SGI’s client base with commercial shopping centers, industrial sites, Home Owner Associations, and local cities.
Over the years Rene has earned numerous quality awards and certificates of achievement from Green Industry seminars and specialized on-the-job training. This, and the fact that he is bilingual (English/Spanish), plays to his strengths as a mentor and trainer, so his team will, according to Rene, “…be more efficient and profitable.” Other strengths include dealing with profit margins, coming up with and implementing innovative ideas, and having an excellent rapport with his employees.
Ever the team player and considerate of others, Rene has his sights on a growth rate in his region of 15% the first year and 30% the second year, “…which would create more working opportunities for the family members of our branch and this community,” he said.

Presently living in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife and two daughters, Rene is looking to relocate soon to the Santa Clarita Valley. His hobbies include both playing and coaching soccer, plus watching football, baseball and basketball games.
