SANTA CLARITA, CA – Stay Green Inc. came away from the 50th Annual Landscape Beautification Awards Program the proud winner of two awards for its maintenance work on two of its largest job sites.
The San Fernando Valley Chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) held its awards gala June 20 at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, and announced Stay Green as the Outstanding and First Place winner in the same category – Large Commercial Maintenance.
“We were just shocked to take the top two awards in one of the competition’s toughest categories,” Stay Green Vice President Chris Angelo said. “It speaks to the dedication and expertise of our crews who work on those accounts. And it validates our efforts in going the extra mile on behalf of our clients.”
The Northbridge Landscape Maintenance District, which Stay Green maintains for the City of Santa Clarita, earned CLCA’s Outstanding designation. The 150-acre property features large slopes accented with ground cover, shrubs and trees. It also includes association parks, medians, parkways and pedestrian pathways.
“This particular property is very challenging because of its size and variety of elements,” Angelo said. “But it also provides us with a chance to showcase our best work. Northbridge is one of the premier residential areas in the heart of Valencia, a master-planned community known for its well-appointed amenities.”
Stay Green’s work for Valencia Mayfair Homeowners Association took First Place. The 250-unit high-end condominium complex features a rich variety of shrubbery and plants that require professional pruning techniques.
“We pride ourselves in natural pruning and being the leaders in the green industry,” Angelo said.
A panel of landscaping experts from outside the chapter reviewed 67 entries across 25 categories, evaluating the skill and quality evident in each entry.
“They had a tough job,” Angelo said of the judges. “And we appreciate their recognition of our overarching commitment to quality.”
